How to select all cards in Anki Pro and study them at once when you don’t have enough time to prepare for an exam

What is GL Algorithm?

The General Learning (GL) algorithm is the mode in which you study cards without spaced repetition. It assists in recalling cards within a brief timeframe, allowing for multiple reviews until you've memorized everything.

There’s no need to know how to select all cards in Anki Pro for this, the algorithm just does everything for you! Cards in this algorithm transition through three states. Your objective is to move all cards from "Not studied" to "Got it".

How It Works

The GL algorithm entails starting your deck learning by reviewing all the flashcards within it. During your study session, the app prompts you to rate how well you know each card. You have only two options: "Not quite" and "Got it".

After going through all the cards, the app will prompt you to revisit the cards you've marked as "Not quite". Once you've marked "Got it" for all the cards, congratulations, you've completed studying the deck!

The GL Algorithm helps you study your cards even without needing to know how to select all cards in Anki Pro

If desired, you can review the cards in the deck again. However, be aware that if you mark a card as "Not quite", the app will continue to prompt you to review it until you mark it as "Got it".
