Fill-in-the-Blank (Cloze)

Utilize the fill-in-the-blank (cloze) feature in Anki Pro to enhance recall precision and deepen learning engagement

Updated over a month ago

The Fill-in-the-Blank feature, also known as Cloze, is a handy tool in Anki Pro that allows you to hide important information on your digital flashcards. When you reveal the back side, the hidden text becomes visible.

Cloze Groups

Blanking out more than one piece of information on a flashcard creates an equal number of separate cards.

Hints

You can include hints to jog your memory about what's hidden in the cloze. Just enclose the text inside the blank in "::" tags.

In learning mode, the hint appears inside the cloze. When you reveal the answer, the hint is replaced by the hidden text.
