Text Editing

Master text editing in Anki Pro to craft customized flashcards that cater to your specific study needs

Updated over a month ago

Anki Pro offers a versatile toolbar equipped with essential tools to tweak your text. Here's what you can do:

  • Change text color and highlight it using the color palette.

  • Make text bold ('B'), italicized ('I'), underlined ('U'), or crossed out ('S').

  • Create headings ('H') and use subscripts and superscripts ('X').

Creating lists is also an option within the toolbar, or you can let Anki Pro auto-create them if you use '-' or any number.

Text Editing and Copy-Pasting

When you copy and paste text into Anki Pro flashcards, visual edits like color, boldness, headings, etc., won't apply. This intentional design ensures that pasted text remains plain, making it easy to paste content from any source without extra formatting.

However, this feature also impacts editing within AnkiPro. Therefore, we suggest making visual changes only after finalizing the content on the flashcards.
